The Arlington Center Staff

The Arlington Center is a group private practice comprised of Clinical Psychologists, Social Workers, Licensed Clinical Professional Counselors, and Licensed Professional Counselors. We offer a variety of counseling and psychotherapy opportunities including individual, child, adolescent, adult, marital/couple, support group, and family sessions. Our staff are experts in their respective areas which include: behavior disorders, school performance difficulties, learning disabilities, Attention Deficit-Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), sexual addiction & compulsive behaviors, marital and relationship struggles, parenting issues, adolescent defiance, psychological testing, group therapy and support groups, abuse & trauma recovery, depression, anxiety, women’s issues, grief support, the emotional impact of infertility, college and career struggles, and health-related problems. We also provide informative, topical presentations on various mental health issues and offer these services to the community.

Our professionals are sought after by local schools, churches and community groups for training on how to better identify and intervene with ADHD and LD children at home and in the classroom, as well as a variety of relationship and mental health issues.

A particular strength of the Arlington Center is the ability to diagnose and treat ADHD. We provide comprehensive assessments for children and adults as well as have a board certified psychiatrist on site for consultations and medical management. We offer parent training specially designed for parents of oppositional and defiant children. We also offer individual and family counseling, consultations, Learning Disability evaluations, and psycho-educational counseling.

Several of our therapists are trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). This technique is often used in the recovery of trauma, as well as anxiety and other disorders. This unique form of treatment often brings about healing even in cases where traditional psychotherapy has failed.

We have been helping to change lives through innovative group experiences for more than two decades. We have been a pioneer in leading experientially based retreats and are one of the few private practices in the state of Illinois to offer individual and group experiences through Equine Assisted Therapy.

Over the years we have offered men’s groups, women’s groups, survivors groups, sexual addiction groups, children with ADHD groups, and co-ed groups. Currently, we offer support groups for sexual addictions and compulsive behaviors.
